a modern insertion in historic Logan Circle

The designer created a spacious and sleek modern design for a gut renovation and addition of an early 20th century rowhouse in Logan Circle. Large cased openings with sliding doors allow for spaces to be multi-functional, while a 2-story custom steel staircase integrates the three levels of the home by bringing light from above. At the same time, the custom metal exterior juxtaposes the existing vernacular, while the stucco allows it to integrate with it, providing both a move forward in style and respecting the past.
