screened porch and art studio in friendship heights

This client came to aggregate with a typical early 20th century Washington DC row house (in this case, semi-detached) wanting to reorganize and update the rear of the property. Existing conditions included a worn out rear deck and ground-level patio, and an original one-car garage that was too small for modern SUVs/crossovers. Aggregate built a year-round, enclosed porch where the deck used to be, and has developed plans for the owners to build an open carport and small artist’s studio where the garage (which the owner currently uses as an art studio) stands.

Project status: phase 1 (screened porch) completed 2017, phase 2 (art studio and carport) to be completed later.
